"The LDS Church today began taking reservations for tours of its just-completed Oquirrh Mountain Temple. People can get the free tickets to the temple's open house by contacting the reservation call center at 800-521-5105, 801-240-7645, or online at www.lds.org/reservations.
The Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple open house will go from June 1 to Aug. 1, except for Sundays and July 4 and 24th. After the open house, the temple will be formally dedicated starting on Aug. 22. Six dedicatory sessions will be held. After that, it will only be open for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who have a valid "temple recommend," which attests to the person's worthiness to enter that sacred space.
The temple at 11022 S. 4000 West, South Jordan, is the 130th built by the church. It will serve an estimated 83,000 Latter-day Saints in the south Salt Lake Valley." (from Salt Lake Tribune)
